We all suffer the five day work week and if you’re like me, by Thursday you’re ready to kick back, relax with a couple of drinks and an ooky spooky movie to ease into the weekend. What better way to enjoy this than with a drinking game specifically tailored to the film of the evening. So join me on a Thursday of the month for a live tweet movie watch with drinking game.
For July we are going back to 1988 to witness Brain Damage; the story of a young man named Brian who had a pretty typical life until he met Aylmer, who said:
“This is the start of your new life Brian. A life without worry or pain or loneliness. A life filled instead with colors and music and euphoria. A life of light and pleasure.”
Tune in to see the harrowing tale of Brain, Aylmer, a metaphor for drug addiction and The Swimming Pool Q's "Corruption".
There is no Movie Guide for this one, but Joe Bob did an episode on it for The Last Drive In for Shudder Season 2 Episode 3.
Rules:
1. Drink whenever Aylmer penetrates Brian’s neck.
2. Swig when we see Brian’s brain close up with electrified blue goo.
3. Sip for all of Brian’s euphoric facial expressions.
4. Chug every time someone says the word “juice”.
5. Gulp for every appearance of upper male nudity and lower male nudity.
6. As always… cheers whenever anyone onscreen pours or takes a drink from an alcoholic beverage
